How Price Finder Works
Price Finder is designed as an open public price-information platform inspired by Wikipedia, maintained by community submissions and verified by human moderators across Nigeria.
Community Submissions
Registered contributors submit price observations encountered in physical markets (Computer Village, Bodija, Sabon Gari, Diobu), online retailers, or direct receipts.
Moderation & Verification
Every submission enters a pending queue. Moderators compare submitted prices against existing regional records and vendor lists to prevent fake or spam pricing.
Price History Timeline
Approved price updates are appended to the item's price history chart. We track minimums, maximums, averages, and percentage changes over time.
Public Reporting & Corrections
Any user can flag an outdated or inaccurate price. When reported, moderators review market vendor calls or ask the contributor for a correction.
